NORTHBOURNE THE STREET TR 35 SW (north side) 4/36 Pair of tombchests, about 20 and 30 metres south of Church of St. Augustine

Pair of tombchests. C17 and late C18. C17 chest of brick encased in stone, with unmoulded corner piers, with moulded top slabs, inscription illegible. Late C18 tombchest with finely moulded side panels of cartouche outline, with urn-shaped corner pieces and moulded top slab, inscribed to Elizabeth Shocklidge, d.1768.
