4/50 Estate Cottage about 50 metres south of Updown House
GV II
Estate cottage late C19. Based on the work by George Devey at Betteshanger. Brown brick, flint, ragstone and tile hanging with plain tiled roof. L-shaped plan. One storey and attic with barge-boarded gable and projecting jettied half-hipped wing to right and stack to rear. Four-centred arched doorway with oriel over on gabled wing, with irregular fenestration of wooden mullioned windows elsewhere.
