The following text is from the original listed building designation:
NEW STREET 1. 1035 (South Side) No 8 TR 3753 SE 2/99 II 2. C19 front. 3 storeys and basement red brick. Parapet with wooden flat eaves cornice. 3 sashes with verticals only. 1st floor has 2 3-light bays. Good C18 doorcase with pediment, console brackets and frieze with urns and tryglyphs. 6 fielded panelled door, the top 2 panels cut away and alazed. Extension of 1 storey in stock brick to end.
