The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GRIFFIN STREET 1. 1035 (North Side) Nos 8 and 9 TR 3753 SE 2/282 II GV 2. Mid C19 pair. 3 storeys and basement rendered. Tiled roof. 1 sash to each with most glazing bars missing. No 9 has a narrow wooden weatherhood on brackets. No 8 has lost a similar hood. Nos 1 to 10 (consec) form a group.
