Former kitchen has a segmental-arched central doorway and boarded door, and 6/6-pane casements in flanking sides, with mid C20 sections to the left, a 2-window range with a right-hand doorway and two further casements, and to the right, a flat-roofed section with a flat-arched end casement. INTERIOR: Sawn timber roof has a possible former smoke outlet at the top. HISTORY: Military kitchens commonly had 8 trenches for coal radiating from a common vent. There were formerly two at Deal.
