The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MIDDLE STREET 1. 1035 (East Side) No 164 (Dolphin Cottage) TR 3753 SE 2/63B II GV 2. late C18 to early C19. 2 storeys yellow brick. Hipped tiled roof. Coping and parapet. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact set in moulded wooden architraves. The ground floor has a simple doorcase with round-headed arch and left side bow. No 164 forms a group with Nos 1 to 11 (consec) Dolphin Street.
