The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BEACH STREET 1. 1035 (West Side) No 199 (The Scarborough Cat) TR 3753 SE 2/218 II GV 2. Mid C19. 3 storeys and basement stuccoed. Stone moulded eaves cornice. 2 3-light canted bays through 2 upper floors. Ground floor has 1 3-light sash and 1 altered C19 shop front. 2 simple doorcases, that to the left with fielded panels. No 183 to 199 (odd) form a group.
