6/138 Barn about 50 metres east of Malmains Farmhouse
GV II
Barn. Mid C17. Red brick in English Bond with timber framed interior structure with asbestos clad roof. L-shaped plan, in 2 builds. Half- hipped roofs, with raking mid strey, the walls with ventilation slits and plinth. Interior: main barn 6 bays with asles and passing shores to arcade posts. Clasped purlin roof. The interior reveals of the ventilation slits have triangular heads. Subsidiary barn of lesser scantling and poorer timber, 3½ bays, still with passing shores and clasped purlin roof.
