The following text is from the original listed building designation:
NORTHBOURNE THE STREET TR 35 SW (south side) 4/44 Wall, about 30 metres north of The Vine Farmhouse
GV II
Wall. C17. Red brick in English bond on flint base with C19 brick upper courses. About 7 feet high, extending from eastern end about 16 metres west to a double gateway with capped gate piers, then about 14 metres further west to pedestrian gateway with arched head containing fine C17 15 panelled door. Thirty two metre section to west, the height raised 3 times along length.
