Summary
Cropmark of a large, roughly circular area, thought to be a filled in quarry. Identified from aerial photographs taken in 1979. A chalk pit is located in close proximity to this feature on the Ordnance Survey historic maps (c.1858-1940).

Full Description
Large roughly circular area, The slight earthworks of this probable post medieval quarry can be seen on lidar taken in 2007. These shallow remains are now incorporated in to an arable field north-east of Springdale Cottages and is centred on TQ 7357 7158. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1)
