TR 25 NE STAPLE THE STREET
(south Side) 5/242 White Gate

House. Early C18 and early C19. Painted brick and red brick rear wing with plain tiled roof. Two storeys with brick corbelled eaves cornice to hipped roof with stacks projecting at end left, and at end right. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on ground floor with gauged heads. Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with traceried semi-circular fanlight in double rebated surround at head of flight of 5 semi-circular steps. Rear wing: early C18 hipped wing.
