The following text is from the original listed building designation:
EYTHORNE CHURCH HILL TR 24 NE (South Side) 4/25 The Old Rectory 6.3.74 GV II House. Early C18 altered mid C19 and C.1900. Painted brick with pebble dashed and tile hung gables. Plain tiled roof. Three storeys on plinth with plat band, and second floor jettied on brackets, with moulded bresummer. Three large gables on hipped roof with stacks to left and at end right. Three tripartite glazing bar sashes on second floor, and two 2 storey canted bays to left and to right, with 3 central glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on ground floor with central half-glazed door with reeded frieze and pilasters in gabled porch with timber arcading. C19 extensions to rear. Interior: late C18 staircase reported with turned balusters, carved newel post with acorn finials with carved cherubs' heads and carved drops. Two early C19 wooden mantelpieces.
