2. Early C16 timber framed house with 1st floor overhanging on the projecting ends of floor joists and bressummer. Painted brick infilling on ground floor plastered infilling above with curved braces. 2 storeys, 2 windows, 2 small C18 bay or shop windows added on ground floor (glazing bars intact). Casement windows above. Doorway with pilasters and 6-panel fielded door, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed. Probably blocked up original doorway to right.
Nos 40 to 50 (even) and Boundary Stone form a group.
