The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOODNESTONE THE STREET TR 25 SE (east side) 3/109 Nos. 1, 2, 3 & 4 Oast Cottages 14.2.75 GV II Cottage row. C18, altered and extended early C19. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with plat band and dogtooth eaves cornice, with 3 storey gable to right. Stacks to end left, to rear left and rear centre, and range of 3 stacks to right. Single Dering window in gable to right. Three light leaded casement to left and four 2 light Dering windows on first floor, and 1 segmentally headed leaded casement to left and three 3 light Dering windows on ground floor. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels to left with flat hood on brackets. Other entries to rear. The 2 end bays, around the doorway, probably formed a mid C18 symmetrical house front before extension and alteration.
