Summary

A 16th century or earlier timber-framed, two storey house with possible contemporary moat. The moat is water-filled and has an entrance across the southeast arm. It is one of the original manors of Biddenden.

The moat surrounding Washenden is still complete. (2)

Washenden Manor House is 16/17th century. The moat is complete, waterfilled and in good condition. There is an entrance across the SE arm. Published 25" survey correct. (3)

TQ 864383. Washenden Manor, Biddenden, is listed in the county checklist of moated sites in Kent - December 1979. (4)
