Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 24 SE ALKHAM ALKHAM VALLEY ROAD (north side) 4/13 Forstal Cottage GV II House, C17 and late C18. Flint, extended with red brick with plain tiled roof. Two storeys on flint plinths, with hipped roof and stack to centre left. Three wooden casements and horizontally sliding glazing bar sash to centre right on first floor, and 1 wooden casement and 3 segmentally headed glazing bar sashes on ground floor, with 2 roundels either side of central plank and stud door, left 2 bays formed original building, added to c.1780. Interior: light-framed partitions, inglenook to left. C17 and early C18 an ale house known as the Fox and Goose.
