Description from record TR 24 SE 40 :
TR 275418.  A short timber barn (about 70 by 30ft) with five bays including central passage;  its high aisles and deeper eccentric transverse braces, show it to be a late but no doubt pre-Dissolution, version of the same type.    (1)

TR 24 SE                  HOUGHAM                  ABBEY ROAD                                                    (south side) 4/69                                                    Barn about 10 6.2.79                                             metres south of                                                    Well-house, St.                                                    Radegund's Abbey GV                                                 II Barn.  C16.  Timber framed and clad with concrete blocks, with flint and rubble stone on right return.  C20 pantiled roof.  Half-hipped roof, with hipped strey to left.  Interior: 4 bays with aisles, with passing shores to arcade posts, and with clasped purlin roof.  Described by Rigold (Arch. Cant. 1966) as late "but no doubt pre-Dissolution".
