The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BEACH STREET 1. 1035 (West Side) No 5 (Nelson Cottage) TR 1752 NE 1/6 II GV 2. Early C19. 3 storeys. Ground floor stuccoed, upper floors brown brick. Slate roof. 2 sashes with glazing bars intact. Shutters to ground floor window. Left side doorcase with rectangular fanlight. Included for group value. Nos 1 to 19 (odd) form a group.
