The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MIDDLE STREET 1. 1035 (West Side) No 177 TR 3753 SE 2/114 II GV 2. Late C18 to early C19. 3 storeys and basement red brick. Stone coping. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact. Right side doorcase with open pediment and urn, swag and paterae moulding. Panelled reveals and 8 panelled door. Nos 161 to 189 (odd) form a group.
