2. The walls upon the east side of the church are mediaeval with late C18 brick facing openings and brick on edge coping, otherwise mostly of stone and flint. Approximately 5 ft high by 280 ft in length.

A watching brief within the churchyard in 2012 found the west face of the wall to be dressed below current ground level. It is therefore though that the wall was originally built as a freestanding wall. (2)
