1805, brick cottage with symmetrical front elevation, rubbed flat arches and fanlights over windows to front. Rear and sides simpler and not symmetrical. Free standing former privy to rear. Large gardens front and rear.
No. 3 built by Henry Edmeades, owner of Owletts during late 18th and early 19th century. No. 3 a fine example of early 19th-century estate building with fine detailing, worthy of inclusion on statutory list. Others are simpler and less remarkable architecturally though important for Baker connection.
Plans are relatively small with single principal rooms front and rear smaller associated stairs and service rooms. Large gardens to rear for nos 1-2 and to front and rear for 3-5. All closely associated with grade II* listed Owletts House, which sits at centre of group. Further association through Herbert Baker with Tudor Yeoman's House in nearby Sole Street [1].
