Description from record TQ 66 NE 191:
Second World War army hospital which utilised a minor stately home, Camer House at Meopham. It appears to have been for the recuperation of service war casualties who could not be accommodated elsewhere. There were extensive grounds and walled gardens. Its date of establishment is unknown but it would have been decommissioned in 1945 and the site was decommissioned in January 1946. The house and gardens still exist.
