Built in the mid 1790s as part of the 4th Earl of Darnley's modernisation of the estate. The dairy was removed from the house but remained visible and was clearly intended to be seen and visited. Account records document the payment for painting the window glass of the dairy. The dairy fell into disuse around 1900.
A cowshed was built adjacent to the dairy in 1798 for milking purposes. (2)
