Summary
A medieval jug in Maidstone Museum was believed to have been found in Benenden in the late 19th century. The jug is complete, and of a squat ovoid shape, 18.5 cm in height and 18.5 cm in diameter at its base. The centre of manufacture is uncertain.

Full Description
A medieval jug presented to the Maidstone Museum and Art Gallery in 1893 by a Mrs Judges was probably found at Benenden (centred TQ 8133) as on it is printed 'Mrs Judes', Benenden. 16 6 '93'. It is a complete, rather squat ovoid jug (see illus card) 18.5 cms high and 18.5 cms diameter at the base. The centre of manufacture is uncertain. (1)
