Full Description

TQ 8620 4644. The old Thornden Farmhouse was removed some 15 years ago but its farm buildings remain partly surrounded by a deep and water filled moat. This comprises a SW and a NW arm, and a fragment of a NE arm at the N angle; the remainder has disappeared entirely. Within the enclosed area are a number of ponds one of which was possibly a fish pond. (1) Checked and correct. (2) Additional bibliography. (3)(4)
