HEADCORN HAWKENBURY ROAD TQ 84 NW (East side) Hawkenbury
5/58 Barn about 20 metres south-west of Hawkenbury Farmhouse

Barn. C17 or early C18. Timber framed, clad with broad weatherboarding. Fragment of lath and daub infilling to north-east end. Steeply-pitched half- hipped corrugated asbestos roof. Plain-tiled roof to north aisle. Low door towards each end of west elevation and canopied arch-braced porch towards each end of east elevation. Interior: 6 timber-framed bays, with midstreys to each penultimate end bay. Front, rear and north-end aisles. Arch braces to all but midstrey bays. Curved pasting shores and raked queen posts to aisles. Clasped purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters, queen struts to collars. Straight windbraces.
