(TQ 83614538) Tilden (NAT) (1) Tilden farmhouse is a timber framed and close studded building with plaster infilling, of two storeys with a tiled roof. The first floor oversails and the south wall has been refaced in brick and painted. (2) Tilden. Farmhouse. Grade II. 15th or early 16th century, with 16th century alterations. Wealden type of four-timber framed bays, converted to lobby entry plan with continuous jetty. (3)(4)

Farmhouse. C15 or early C16, with C16 alterations. Timber framed with plaster infilling. Right gable end painted brick. Plain tile roof. Wealden of 4 timber-framed bays, converted to lobby entry plan with continuous jetty. 2 storeys and garret. Continuous jetty on solid brackets, returned to left on moulded dragon post. Close studded. Remains of moulded fillet half way up first floor. Steeply-pitched roof hipped to left, half-hipped to right. Central brick ridge stack. Irregular fenestration of 4 widely-spaced windows; 2 small single-light casements, one 2-light casement, one 8-light mullioned and transomed window breaking through eaves, with eyebrow dormer over and one 3-light wooden mullioned frieze window with subsidiary mullions. Ribbed door beneath stack. Interior: not inspected but said to contain moulded crown post and Warham arms in stained glass.
