5/1 Working Mens' Club

Club house. Late C18, possibly with earlier core. Ground floor red brick in Flemish bond, first floor tile-hung. Both floors of right gable end of front range weatherboarded, on brick plinth. Plain tile roof. Double depth, or possibly L-plan with rear wing to left and infilling to right. 2 relatively low storeys, possibly with underbuilt jetty to front. Moulded wooden eaves cornice with small Ionic modillions, returned along whole of left elevation, left part of rear elevation, and right gable end of front range. Hipped roof to left, returning to rear. Separate hips to front and rear ranges to right. Irregular fenestration of 3 twelve-pane sashes, set well below eaves. Ribbed door with flat bracketed hood between central and right windows. Single-storey red and grey brick addition with brick parapet, to left gable end. Interior not inspected.
