BOUGHTON MONCHELSEA GREEN LANE TQ 75 SE (South side)
1/49 Lewis Court 25.7.52 GV II
House. Early C16. Timber framed, with plaster infilling. Plain tile roof. Wealden of 4 timber-framed bays, with unequal-length hall bays. 2 storeys. Close-studded. Higher midrail to long left hall bay. Right and left end bays jettied to front, jetties returning on moulded dragon posts. Almost straight braces to flying wall-plate. Hipped roof. Projecting brick gable- end stack to left, and brick stack in front slope of roof to narrow right end bay of hall. Irregular fenestration of 4 windows; one 3-light to left hall bay, with a 3-light mullioned window immediately to left of it. Ribbed door with 4-centred arched head to left end of right end bay. Rear wing to left, with chequered red and grey brick to long right side, lower ridge, and hipped roof with gablet. Interior not inspected.
