Full Description

TQ 565570 (sited to place name). Two tranchet axes and one microlith,found at Stonepits. They are in Dartford Museum. Information from R.M. Jacobi. (1) Mesolithic worked flint from Stone Pitts, Kemsing, Kent County Museum Service Accession No.: K2131. (2)

2015 Volunteer Project suggested that TQ 55 NE 56 corresponds to NWK-6, No. 11 + 12 from the Southern Rivers Palaeolithic Project. Stone Pits mentioned in both above and Southern Rivers Palaeolithic Project. Quanitities of finds do not match and the above identifies flints as Mesolithic.
