SUTTON VALENCE NEW BARN ROAD TQ 84 NW (West Side) 5/151 Farthing Green Farmhouse (formerly) 26.4.68 listed as House North of Greenways Farm on the opposite side of the road..) II
Farmhouse. Mid C15 or earlier. Timber framed, with exposed studding and plaster infilling. 4 timber framed bays. Open hall of 2 bays with storeyed bay to each end. 2 storeys on rendered plinth. Broadly-spaced studding. Arch braces. Jettied gable ends, left underbuilt. Hipped roof. Projecting stack with stone base to rear wall to left end bay. Brick ridge stack towards right end of right hall bay. Irregular fenestration of 4 windows; one 4-light diamond mullion window to left end bay, one 2-light and one single-light casement to left hall bay and one 2-light to right end bay. Blocked durns beneath stack. Boarded door to centre of left hall bay. Interior not inspected.
