The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ULCOMBE CHEGWORTH ROAD TQ 85 SW (west side) 2/176 Barn about 33 metres north of Chegworth Manor Farmhouse GV II
Barn. 1759. Timber framed, weatherboarded, on stone plinth. Corrugated iron roof half-hipped to left, hipped to right. Central double doors with side door to right. Built at right- angles to road. Interior: 5 timber-framed bays, with rear aisle. Arch-braced principal posts with cut jowls. Staggered butt purlins, high collars, queen struts raked to principal rafters. Part of roof and some of studding replaced. Dated 1759 on tie-beam. Included for group value.
