The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SUTTON VALENCE CHAPEL ROAD TQ 8049-8149 (east side) 7/119 Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Walnut Tree 26.4.68 Cottage GV II
House, now house row. Early C17 or earlier. Timber framed, rendered, with plain tile roof. 2 storeys and garret on stone plinth. Half-hipped roof with slightly higher ridge to right of stack. Multiple brick ridge stack in front slope of roof to right of centre, and slender projecting stack to left. Irregular fenestration of 3 small casements; one 4-light to left end bay, one 4-light to left of centre and one 2-light to right end. Boarded door towards centre of left bay, vertically-panelled door up 2 steps under stack and panelled door with 2 top lights in right gable end. Interior not inspected.
