The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SUTTON VALENCE HEADCORN ROAD TQ 84 NW (west side) 5/134 Brook House 26.4.68 GV II
House. Later C18. Chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. Double depth. 2 storeys, attic and cellar on brick plinth. Plat band. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. Hipped roof, hips returning. Rear stack to right and to left. 2 hipped dormers with 16-pane glazing-bar sashes. Regular 3-window front of two slightly recessed 20-pane glazing-bar sashes to each floor, in wider blocked openings, and central 12-pane sash to first floor, all with splayed rubbed-brick voussoirs. Central panelled door up 2 steps with rectangular fanlight. Rear return wing to right. Interior not inspected.
