to the Cottage

Barn. Early C17 or earlier. Timber framed, weatherboarded, on
plinth, with gabled corrugated iron roof. At right angles to
road. Central double doors. Later lean-to to left.
Interior: 3 timber-framed bays. Arch-braced gunstock-jowled
posts. Arch-braces to side walls, tension braces to gable ends.
Edge-halved scarf-joint. C20 roof with re-used rafters. Daub
infilling to left gable end.
