OTTERDEN SLADE ROAD TQ 95 SW (east side)
5/254 Upper Slade Farmhouse
II Farmhouse. Circa 1600. Timber-framed. Ground floor clad in red brick in Flemish bond, first floor tile hung. Plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan. 2 storeys on flint plinth. Hipped roof with gablets. Multiple brick ridge stack off-centre to right. Irregular fenestration of three C19 leaded casements. Boarded door beneath stack. Interior: 4 bays including narrow stack bay. Mortices for diamond mullion window. 0volo-moulded mullion re-used in C19 wall. Edge-halved scarf-joint. First floor of right end room said to have been granary.
