The following text is from the original listed building designation:
WORMSHILL THE STREET TQ 85 NE (east side)
1/268 The Blacksmith's Arms Public House GV II House, now Public House. Probably C16, with early C19 alterations. Timber-framed. Front elevation rendered, right gable weather- boarded. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic on plinth, with hipped roof. Renewed brick ridge stack towards right end. Small central hipped dormer. Irregular fenestration of 3 horizontally-sliding sashes to each floor. 3 boarded doors with very short plain hoods, one between left and central windows and 2, broadly-spaced, between right and central windows. Interior not inspected.
