Full Description
Smarden, Roman pottery found at Romden Place (a). (1) Romden, area centred TQ 8942. Romden Place appears as a locality name in the census returns of 1929 and 1961. The name appears to have fallen from use as the area is known as Romden Bridge in the census of1971 and as Romden on the OS 1:10000 of 1974 (2)
