The following text is from the original listed building designation:
YALDING HIGH STREET TQ 6950 (east side) 6/117 Monument to William Winton about 3 metres west of tower of Church of St. Peter and St. Paul GV II
Chest tomb. Mid C19. Stone. Doubly stepped stone base, bottom step formerly railed. Moulded plinth and cornice. Fluted side panels break forwards. Inscription panel has recessed border, and concave corners with fanned decoration. North side inscribed to William Winton, d.1854.
