5/59 The Old Mill House
G.V. II
House. C17. Timber framed, with exposed framing and brick nogging on ground floor, rendered on first floor, with plain tile roof. Built on slope. 2 storeys, attic and basement to front, 3 storeys and attic to rear. Widely-spaced studding of slight scantling with cross rails in brick nogging forming large square panels. Boxed eaves cornice. Rear stack off-centre to left, projecting stack to right gable. 2 hipped dormers. Small sash in left gable. Regular 2-window front of wood mullioned and transcoled casements on first floor and glazing bar sashes to ground floor. Plain boarded door slightly off-centre to right with rectangular leaded light over and flat hood. Listed for group value.
