The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BEARSTED YEOMAN LANE To 75 NE (west side) 5/43 Snowfield II House. C19, rebuilt Circa 1911 by A.N. Prentice in an early C18 style, for Montagu Barstow, husband of Baroness Orczy . Red brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys with plinth, quoins, cement- rendered platt band, moulded wood eaves cornice and panelled stone-coped parapet. 3 stacks well behind parapet, one towards each end and one well to right of centre. Regular 7 window front of 6 glazing bar sashes with thick glazing bars, cement cills and segmental heads with gauged brick voussoirs and cement rendered keystones. 2 bays at either end project to front. Central venetian window in stone, with flagpole above. Doorcase of fluted pilasters carrying entablature of triglyphs alternating with military emblems, with triangular pediment over. Early-to- mid C19 service block remains in evidence to rear on left side. Interior: contains structure but no direct evidence of, C19 building. All detailing carefully worked in an early C18 style, virtually unaltered since. High standards of craftsmanship throughout. House of Baroness Orczy circa 1905 - 1919.
