(TQ 88375920) Ring ditches south of Bashford Barn Lane show on aerial photograph. (1) This area is under a root crop and nothing associated with the cropmarks can be seen on the ground. (2) Nothing resembling ring ditches is visible on any air photos at the location given. It is possible that what is being referred to are the cropmark traces of windmills recorded as TQ 85 NE 43. It is impossible to be sure as no photo bearing the reference number quoted by source 1 exists - it could be a garbled reference to TQ 8859/1/448? (3)
