The following text is from the original listed building designation:
COLLEGE WALK 1. 5278 Nos 1 to 6 (consec) (Corrall's Charity Almshouses) TQ 7655 SW 7/232 II GV
2. These almshouses were the result of a fund raised by Philip Corrall, Mayor of Maidstone in 1814, to house the relatives of theose who were killed in the Napoleonic Wars. Early to Mid C19. 3 pairs of semi-detached houses built of ragstone ashlar. 2 storeys. Gables at the sides with kneelers and central blank gables with panel. 1 triple lancet window to ground floor of each and the side elevations of both ground and 1st floors have a double lancet. Hipped entrance porch on the side elevation of each stone plinth. 4 clustered stone stacks to each.
Nos 1 to 6 (consec) form a group.
