The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LENHAM LENHAM HEATH ROAD TQ 95 SW (north side) Lenham Heath 5/191 Chapel Mill 26.4.68. GV II House and Mill, now house. Early C17 with late C18/early C19 extension. Mill C19, converted C20. Timber framed. House red brick on ground floor, largely stretcher bond, first floor tile hung. Mill weatherboarded, both with plain tile roof. House 2 storeys and attic with roof hipped to right. Mill 2 storeys with roof half-hipped to left and eaves lower than those of house. Eaves dormer to centre of mill and single dormer to house. Irregular fenestration of 2 first-floor casements to house, one of 3 lights to left and one of 2 lights to right. Boarded double doors to former mill. Late C20 glazed door under late C20 red brick porch to left end of house. Single-bay separately roofed late C18/early C19 extension to right of house, set well back from front elevation and wrapping round rear of house. 2 storeys,. Red brick ground floor to front, rendered to right side and rear. First floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof, hipped to front and rear, continuing along rear elevation of addition. Interior: exposed timbers.

A smock used for the milling of cereals. Built circa 1760, the mill was an addition to house which already stood on the site. The mill was built of a brick base with a weatherboarded superstructure. The mill continued to work until 1910, with the superstructure being removed in 1925. Since then , the mill has been converted into a house. (2-3)
