The following text is from the original listed building designation:
EARL STREET 1. 5278 (North Side) The Market House Public Rouse TQ 7555 NE 1/239 II
2. Mid Cl9 corner building. 2 storeys and basement stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated. Slate roof, hipped at one end. 3 sashes with verticals only set in Italianate architraves. Mid C19 pub front with dentil cornice. 2 cambered arches and central cambered dooroase. 3 sashes to the Market Street elevation 2 of which are set in a 2 storey extension in matching style.
