The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MOTE PARK 1. 5278 Mote Cottage (Formerly listed as Willington Lodge) TQ 75 SE 11/146 30.7.51. II
2. C18 front but probably earlier behind the facade. 2 storeys and attics plastered. Hipped tiled roof and wooden eaves cornice. 3 hipped dormers containing casement windows. 4 sashes with wide glazing bars intact. Architraves over ground floor windows. Gabled glass porch added in the C19. On the south wall is a chimney breast of stone rubble on the ground floor and plastered above with a red brick stack.
