The following text is from the original listed building designation:
WEST STREET TQ 74 NW HUNTON (North-west side) Scotts House 4/102 GV II House. Late C18 front to a possibly earlier building. Ground floor chequered red and grey brick, first floor weatherboarded. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Central red and grey brick ridge stack with dentilled cornice. Regular 2-window front of 3-light casements. Blocked door under stack. Panelled door in single-storey red brick addition to left gable end of rear range. Parallel rear range in similar materials, with half-hipped roof. Interior not inspected. Formerly known as Grove Cottage.
