The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LINTON HILL TQ 75 SE LINTON (East Side) 3/147 Monument to Thomas Watkins about 2½ metres north of east end of north aisle of Church of St. Nicholas GV II Table tomb. Early-to-mid C18. Stone, on rectangular stone base, with moulded plinth and corniced lid. Roll-moulded corners. Fielded inscription panel with concave corners. Fielded side panels. North side to Thomas Watkins, d.1733 aged 64.
