The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LINTON HILL TQ 75 SE LINTON (East Side) 3/151 Monument about 6 1/2 metres north-west of tower of Church of St. Nicholas GV II Table tomb. Early-to-mid C18. Stone, on rectangular stone base, with moulded plinth, corniced lid and plain side panels. Date of death 1730? Inscription barely legible at time of re-survey.
