Description from record TQ 75 SE 22:
[TQ 75335273] Pympe's Court [GT] (remains of) (1) Pimp's Court (Remains of) applies to the remains of an ancient house immediately south-west fo the farmstead of the same name. Hasted notes the ruins of an ancient mansion about the [then] modern house. The south-west end of the ruins was traditionally called 'The Old Chapel'. The de Pimpes held the manor from the 13th c to the 16th C. (2 - 3) Adjoining the south-west corner of the recently rebuilt Pimp's Court is the roofless remains of a rectangular building, with ragstone walls 0.8m thick, measuring internall 3.0m by 4.8m. It is orientated NNE-SSW and there is a fine 14th C pointed doorway in the west end of the north side. This building is traditionally called 'The Old Chapel', but no features to support this classification are visible. There is much stonework about the 18th/19th c farm buildings, most of it rebuilt, but the heavily buttressed east side of a long barn centred TQ 75405275 may be Md in origin. Some 15th c window fragments are built into the end of a barn adjoining the 'chapel' at TQ 75345273. GP/AO/64/110/3. (4)
